Setting Priorities
Read: Luke 10:38-42

Setting priorities is so important especially in this high-paced world we live in. I have children that are growing up right before my eyes, yet I still think that the house needs to be spotless before I sit down to play with them. Since reading this passage and knowing that I would be writing about it, the Lord has placed in my heart so many areas that I need to take time and prioritize.

My neighbor passed away on Monday, November 8th. I never really got to know him other than the occasional “hello” while visiting with his wife. At his funeral I learned that he was a World War II Veteran. He had survived four years in Europe and four months as a Prisoner of War in Germany. What a missed opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to him. After the funeral, I immediately thought of this scripture. God wants me to slow down. I must pay attention to the people he places in my life and their needs. It is time to slow down, leave the dishes, and visit my neighbors and enjoy my children.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank you so much for placing me among such wonderful family and friends. I will take time to love each and every one of them as you have shown me how to love. Amen
