To Know Jesus as the Christ
Read: Matthew 16:13-18


To follow Jesus is to do things that are right and help others as Jesus did. Call others to follow Jesus and ask them to attend church to learn about him and enjoy being with others. I try to follow Jesus and pray that I am doing all of the right things. The ones in the Bible were attached to him because he cleaned the unclean people and healed them. You always pray for healing for you or someone that is ill, because he is the one that can heal even with the help of others.

I try to attend church all of the time. I really enjoy the singing and the pastor’s sermon. I also enjoy visiting with other people. I come home to eat, visit with the family and wait for the call from our out of town son who calls every Sunday.

Jesus can see the good that we do and we can always pray to him for help when we need it when there is something we can’t do on our own. He is always there for us if we are there for him.
We can all know Jesus, and he will know us if we attend church, prayer meetings and bible studies, and always pray for those that are ill or have lost a love one or need our prayers in any way.

Jesus is the light of the world. We should pray and have faith and be able to see him through the darkness.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help us to allow Christ to be the greatest influence on our lives so that his light may shine through us. Amen.
