Being God’s Blessing to Those In Need
Read: Matthew 5:1-12

My scriptures are the Beatitudes. The Beatitudes are a map of life, a series of directives helping us on our journey to be with God. They are God’s guidelines. Verse 4 speaks to me. "Those who mourn are fortunate for they shall be comforted".

I lost my oldest son to suicide 7 years ago. It was the most difficult time of my life. Before, I had been remiss in my walk with God.. After his death, I had to lean on God to survive. God has become my comfort in getting me through the difficult days and years ahead. I find comfort in the knowledge that I will see my son again and that he’s no longer in pain. As a mother, what more can I ask for? Finding comfort in God helps you let go of that pain and continue on to find happiness in our lives again.

Prayer: God give us strength on the days that are hard and give us comfort when we need it the most. Amen.
