Accepting Christ Deep In Our Lives
Read: Acts 16:13-15
In these 3 short verses, Lydia was listening to Paul’s words and applying them to herself, taking great notice of the word of God. In so doing, not only was her heart touched but her heart was opened for the King of Glory to come in. This reminded me of John, Mark and I attending church on Sunday, taking each precious day together so for granted. Then suddenly finding myself sitting on the ground at Marks grave wanting to crawl in with him. John had returned to work as there was nothing more to be done. We tried to go away for a few days however, there was no running away from what had happened. We were all to be on vacation not at the cemetery. I did not know what to do or where I was to go. The tears would not seem to stop, my heart hurt so badly and I began to pray. At some point I walked back to the car returning home. That day my heart was touched by Christ and forever to be opened for the King of Glory. The day John went home to be with the Lord, after the tears, I knew where I needed to go.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you and praise you each and everyday for the renewing of my heart and your grace. Amen.
